Staub Window Restorations

Willow Grove Plantation

One of the most extensive historic projects to date, SWR had the privilege to not only restore the architectural elements of this building, but the entire foundation from the ground up. This c. 1820 plantation home was being restored meticulously to the highest of restoration standards, which presented a series of challenges for the team. The windows, doors, walls, decking, and masonry were all restored by the Staub team. One of the most rewarding things about the project was learning traditional vernacular building methods such as Bousillage insulation as featured in the Preservation Resource Center's Preservation in Print.
